Oversized Mirrors Need a Handling Plan, Not Just a Wall Measurement
Tips

Two tall mirrors in a Wake Forest home illustrate the access, product information and placement decisions needed before installation.
Before arranging an oversized mirror installation, confirm how the mirror will reach the wall and how its product information will be reviewed. Its appearance in a room does not reveal its weight, frame construction or suitable hanging method.
Handydux installed the two tall gold-framed mirrors shown here in a Wake Forest home. The project record describes substantial pieces and coordinated handling. That history supports planning for handling; it does not establish the staffing or hardware required for a different mirror.
Gather the manufacturer’s dimensions and net product weight, a photo of the back and any supplied installation instructions. Shipping weight can include packaging and should not be substituted silently. If the product information is missing, identify that gap before assuming the appointment can proceed as a routine hanging job.
Show the delivery route as well as the intended wall. Doorways, turns, stairs and the space around furniture can affect handling. Make clear whether the mirror is already in the room, still packaged or awaiting delivery. These are different starting conditions.
Placement should be agreed before the piece is lifted into position. Review the relationship to nearby furniture and the reflection from the main approach. Confirm what must be moved, who will move it and how the site will be prepared. With large mirrors, good information at the inquiry stage is part of a workable installation plan.
