Planning a Corridor Display With Many Different-Sized Pieces

A Sensaria display in Morrisville illustrates how a long wall of different-sized pieces needs a shared layout and careful identification.

For a long corridor display, organize the pieces and the layout before installation begins. A dense arrangement of different sizes is difficult to reconstruct from an unordered stack or a collection of close-up photographs.

Handydux installed the corridor display shown here for Sensaria in Morrisville. The photograph shows colored rectangular pieces with dimension labels arranged along the wall. It belongs to an early corridor phase, separate from later elevated artwork in the wider project.

Create a piece inventory with a stable identifier for each item and mark those identifiers on the layout plan. Record the real outside dimensions and intended orientation. Labels visible on a display can describe its content; the installer still needs dimensions and mounting information for the physical pieces.

Review the arrangement from the corridor entrance as well as straight on. The sequence is experienced while walking, and wall openings, controls and access requirements can interrupt the usable area. Keep those features in the plan instead of filling an abstract wall rectangle that does not match the site.

Agree on who can approve adjustments if the installed conditions differ from the drawing. Retain the approved arrangement and a completion record for later replacement or additions. For a commercial inquiry, send the inventory, full corridor views and layout together. That gives the installation team a coherent scope without assuming that every piece shares the same mounting detail.
